The choir is made up of volunteers of all ages, who enjoy singing and the challenges of performing some of the finest music ever written to the very highest standards possible.
The choir sings at the 10:00am Service every Sunday and Choral Evensong once a month, on the Second Sunday. The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7:15pm until 8:45pm and before each service.
The choir performs settings, psalms, antiphons, anthems and motets at every service and is proud to continue the ancient tradition of regularly singing plainsong within the liturgy.
In addition to performing each Sunday, the choir performs Carol Services in Advent and at Christmas and at liturgies on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Eve. In 2018 members of the choir performed Fauré’s Requiem on All Souls Day alongside a string quartet and organ.
New voices are always welcome! There is no audition, but it is expected that singers will have a reasonable ability to read music and are prepared to commit to singing at most of our regular services and weekly rehearsals.
Our Director of Music is Anthony Pasquill.
